Mapping
The Colusa County Board of Supervisors adopted Ordinance No. 764 on June 3, 2014 amending Section 33-3.2 of Article III of Chapter 33 of the Colusa County Code setting the basis for establishing the areas of special flood hazard. As a result of the new mapping, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has prepared three Letters of Map Revision (LOMR) for three areas in the County including the unincorporated communities of Arbuckle and Maxwell, and the unincorporated areas surrounding the City of Williams.
The following list summarizes maps available for download and viewing. It is important to note the "effective date" for each of the LOMRs. Until the effective date, the original National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs) remain in effect. After the effective date of the LOMR, the flood zone information on the new, updated maps included in the LOMR will be the official flood maps for that area of the County.

Potential Refunds
Property owners who are currently carrying a NFIP flood policy, and whose property has been mapped out of a Special Flood Hazard Area, may be entitled to a refund of premiums paid up to one year prior to the effective date of the appropriate map above. Please contact your insurance provider for more details regarding refunds on premiums. General information regarding the refunds can also be obtained here.
