Support the Library

The Colusa County Free Library welcomes and is grateful for your support - by volunteering, donating books or funds, joining the Friends of the Colusa County Free Library and shopping at the Bookworm Used Book Store, you enhance both your community and Library services.

You can support the Library with your gift of time. From shelving books, assisting with programs, tutoring adults wishing to increase their English reading skills and much more, there is a wide array of volunteer opportunities that truly meet the needs of our library and the local community. Take part in this rewarding experience and assist others in your community by volunteering today.

For more information, view the Volunteering at the Library page.

Children and adults come here to learn how to read, engage in programming and to continue their lifelong learning. Entrepreneurs and innovators come here to create, collaborate and connect. Your donations help make it all possible.

The Colusa County Free Library accepts monetary donations in the form of bequests, endowments, memorials, planned giving, trusts and general financial donations, as well as non-cash gifts of books and other materials.

Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Colusa County Free Library is a nonprofit organization that advocates, fundraises, and provides critical support for the Library. As a Friend, you can support our efforts to ensure continuous innovation and excellence at the Library. In addition to becoming a member, you might also wish to donate some of your time. Whether you choose to work in the bookstore, help with a mailing, assist at one of the special events, or even join the executive board, the Friends can always use another helping hand.

Additionally, the Friends of the Colusa County Free Library accepts donations of materials that they sell to raise money for the Library. They will accept most hardcover and paperback books in good condition on all subjects. Donations may be taken to the BookWorm, at 440 Market Street, Colusa.
