The Maxwell Transfer Station is located just South of Maxwell on Old Highway 99. When taking items to the Transfer Station you must weigh in before and after disposal. The Fee Collector will waive you off the scale when your weight has been taken.

• Municipal Solid Waste
• Green Waste (organics such as grass clippings and tree limbs)
• Recyclables (scrap metal, cardboard, plastic)

FREE ITEMS

• Used Motor Oil and filters
• White Goods (washers, dryers, refrigerators, water heaters)
• E-waste (TVs, computers, monitors)
• U-waste (fluorescent tubes, household batteries)
• Agriculture Herbicide containers (with Ag Department triple rinse certificate only)
• Sharps disposal locations
• Information on proper handling of sharps and containers

ITEMS NOT ACCEPTED : EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1ST 2021, TREATED WOOD WASTE IS NOT ACCEPTED AT THIS FACILITY

• Hazardous waste (Treated wood, flammables, solvents, acids, paint, antifreeze, etc.)
• Tires
• Compressed Gas Cylinders
