Colusa County is unique in the way that all juvenile traffic issues are dealt with at the Colusa County Probation Department. If a person under the age of 18 receives a citation for a traffic violation, then the juvenile and their parent(s) are required to attend an intake meeting with the officer in charge of Juvenile Traffic. A letter will be sent to the residence which was originally listed on the citation, and will include a date and time to appear. At that time the outcome of the traffic violation will be determined.
