[ARCHIVED] Arbuckle Library Reopens After Renovations

The tiles are gleaming, the light from the window reflects off new surfaces and the staff is smiling. Beginning Monday, July 16, 2012, the Arbuckle Library reopened with normal hours. The Library was closed for five weeks while construction was completed on a new ADA accessible bathroom.

"I love it!" says Branch Librarian Michelle Dennis. “It's so roomy and new.” The renovation project, funded in part by a US Department of Agriculture Community Facilities grant, combined two small bathrooms into one to allow access by individuals with special accommodation needs—such as wheelchairs.

Located at 610 King Street in Arbuckle, the Library hours are Monday 1:00 – 6:00 PM, Tuesday 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM and Wednesday 1:00 – 7:00 PM. The Library phone number is 530 476-2526. Arbuckle Library offers books, magazines, newspapers, computers for Internet access and downloadable audiobooks for loan.
