Over the past couple weeks the Colusa County Sheriff’s Office, Colusa County District Attorney’s Office, Colusa Police Department, Williams Police Department, Colusa County Probation Department, and Colusa County Task Force all took part in executing four separate search warrants related to stolen property, drugs and illegal firearms. The search warrants were served in the City of Colusa on separate dates.
On 12/23/16 search warrants led to the arrest of Juan Martin Alvarez, 41 from Colusa for possession of stolen property as well as charges for drug paraphernalia. Monica Jean Crabtree, 39 and Wayne Deniz, 28 from Colusa were also arrested on charges of felons in possession of a firearm.
Colusa County Sheriff’s Office investigators took the lead on one search with District Attorney’s Office investigators being lead on the other three warrants. Both Williams Police Department and Colusa Police Department K-9 Units were used during service of the warrants.
Colusa County Task Force Commander, Sgt. Mike Bradwell, was impressed with both PD’s new K-9 units and excited to have these valuable resources available within the county. Bradwell described both dogs as professional and performed well during service of the warrants.
