On January 26, 2017, the Colusa County Task Force, along with Detectives from the Colusa County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant at a residence in the 5400 block of Highway 45 in Princeton, Ca.  The residents were not present during the search but were identified prior as Kadeidra Ann New, 21, and Ricky Lee Walton, 18.

During the search, the Task Force located an Intratec Tec-9 assault weapon with a high cap magazine and approximately one hundred rounds of 9mm ammunition.  Through a records check, the firearm matched a stolen firearm out of Arlington, Texas.  Additionally, located in the residence was approximately five (5) pounds of marijuana separately packaged.

Later Thursday evening, the Colusa County Task Force located and apprehended New and Walton as they were returning to the residence.  Both suspects were booked into the Colusa County Jail for possession of an assault weapon, possession of a high capacity magazine and possession of stolen property.
