[ARCHIVED] 2-19-2017 UPDATE - Flood Fight Efforts

As of noon today, 2-19-17, the Red Cross shelter in Williams has closed with no remaining needs.

The Maxwell staging point was clear of all evacuees yesterday by 4:00 PM.

Most of the water has subsided in the town of Maxwell. While residents have been allowed to return to their homes, they should exercise caution for any electrical or gas issues. Flood fight efforts continue in hopes of preventing any further evacuations with the storm expected Sunday –Tuesday.

Continued flood fight efforts remain in the towns of Princeton, Colusa, Grimes and Williams.

We encourage all County residents to be prepared for the second storm this week with heavy rains beginning tonight and expecting to continue overnight and until Tuesday.

Should the need to evacuate occur again, planning activities for a shelter located outside of the county are ongoing with locations to be announced.
