On 6-29-17 at approximately 7:22 AM, Colusa County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to a report of a deceased female located on Harbison Rd., approximately one mile west of Hwy 45. Deputies located the deceased female and later identified her as Lisa Marie Madrid (05-16-65) of Paradise, CA.
Colusa County Detectives learned Madrid had worked in Paradise and subsequently obtained video surveillance of Madrid and an unknown male. Colusa County Detectives contacted the Paradise Police Department and Paradise PD Officers were able to identify the male as Daniel Albert Robleto (11-26-62).
Paradise PD Officers and Colusa County Detectives responded to a known residence of Robleto; however, Robleto was not at the residence. Officers and Detectives did discover what appeared to be a crime scene. The California Department of Justice Crime Lab assisted and processed the possible crime scene. Evidence was located that connected Madrid to the residence and Robleto.
On 6-30-17 at approximately 2:00 PM Officers from the Clear Lake Police Department and Deputies from Colusa County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle Robleto had been driving and took Robleto into custody.
Robleto was booked into the Butte County Jail for 187 PC – Murder.
The Paradise Police Department would like to thank the Colusa County Sheriff’s Office, the Clear Lake Police Department, and the California Department of Justice Crime Lab for the collaborative efforts during this investigation.
