Attempted Murder/Robbery – Revised Shooting Location

On February 6, 2018 at 8:50 PM, the Colusa County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Colusa Casino for an adult male gunshot victim. Colusa County Detectives and Colusa County Task Force were called out to the scene. The victim drove to the casino for aid. Investigators later located evidence of the shooting southeast of the casino at the south end of Traditional Way. The victim was transported to Rideout Memorial Hospital and is listed in stable condition.

Sheriff’s Office personnel, Task Force agents, Colusa Police officers and CHP officers set a perimeter around the area. Investigators discovered a description of suspect and suspect’s truck.

A CHP helicopter was utilized and located the truck at a residence northwest of the casino. The Colusa County S.O.A.R. Team was called out in an attempt to contact the suspect at the residence.

The suspect, 33-year-old Ysidro Chico Arismendez, was taken into custody after a short foot pursuit. A female suspect, 20-year-old Shantrice Nicole Moon-Gomez was also located at the residence and taken into custody.

Ysidro Arismendez was booked into the Colusa County Jail no bail on 664/187(A) - Attempted Murder, 211 P.C. – Robbery, 29800(A)(1) P.C. – Felon in Poss. of a Firearm, 245(A)(2) P.C. – Assault w/Firearm, 182 P.C. – Criminal Conspiracy, and 11377 H.S. – Poss. of a Controlled Substance.

Shantrice Moon-Gomez was booked into the Colusa County Jail no bail on 664/187(A) - Attempted Murder, 211 P.C. – Robbery, 212 P.C. – Fear as an Element in Robbery, 245(A)(2) P.C.– Assault w/Firearm, and 182 P.C. – Criminal Conspiracy.
