Umpqua Bank Robbery
For Immediate Release
On 7/5/2019 at about 4:39 PM, there was an armed robbery at the Umpqua Bank in Arbuckle, CA. There were two suspects dressed in hoody style sweatshirts with masks covering their faces. One suspect was described as a heavy set male with a light complexion. The second suspect was described as having a thinner build. Possibly a Hispanic male adult with a dark complexion or as a black male adult. The two suspects were armed with handguns. The suspects took an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing southbound in a stolen tan Toyota pickup. No injuries occurred during the robbery.
A Colusa County Deputy pursued the vehicle into Yolo County, where one suspect fled on foot and the other suspect continued driving southbound. The second suspect abandoned the vehicle in an orchard south of County Rd. 2 and west of County Rd. 88 in Yolo County.
Colusa County Sheriff’s Deputies, Colusa County Task Force Agents, Colusa County Detectives along with personnel from the following agencies: Yolo County Sheriff’s Office, CHP, Williams Police Department and Woodland Police Department set a perimeter around the area. A CHP Air Unit and CHP K9 were utilized in the search for the suspects. The suspects are still at large and the Sheriff’s Office is currently following active leads. The FBI is assisting in the investigation.
