Missing Person


For Immediate Release


October 29, 2019  10:00AM


The Colusa County Sheriff’s Office is currently conducting a missing person investigation into the whereabouts of Jose Canchola, 18, from Colusa.  On October 27, 2019 at approximately 0030 hours, Jose was last seen leaving a residence on foot in the area of the 6000 block of Myers Rd. in Williams, CA.


Jose is described as Hispanic male adult, 6-00, 135 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes.  Jose was last seen wearing blue jeans and a camouflage hooded sweater.  For further description of Jose see attached photograph.


On October 28, 2019, the Colusa County Sheriff’s Office led a large search & rescue operation in the area of Lonestar Rd. and Myers Rd. in Williams, CA.  Assisting the search were local fire departments, pilots and the Colusa County Search & Rescue Team.  A search by vehicle, foot and air was conducted with negative results at this time.  Further search operations are currently underway.
