Supervisor Denise Carter presented Mr. Harry Krug with a Proclamation of the Board of Supervisors at his retirement party. Mr. Krug served the County wearing many hats: as the Agricultural Commissioner, Sealer of Weights and Measures, Air Pollution Control Officer, Director of Migrant Housing and Director of Airport Operations. In addition to his work developing professional staff in the county, Mr. Krug took on leadership roles in statewide organizations. He served as president of the California Agricultural Commissioner and Sealers Association in 1996-1997, served two terms as president of the California Air Pollution Control Officers Association, 1993-1994, and 2004-2005. He was also a charter member and first president of the Association of California Airports from 2000-2002. He currently serves on the California Transportation Commission's Technical Advisory Committee on Aeronautics (since 2002), representing the Association of California Airports and general aviation airports at large.
We wish him well in his retirement, where he will have time to pursue his love of flying, playing golf, car racing, and seeing the country.
